The cover of a handbound artist book, Searching for Fitz. The work combines a narrative poem with hand drawn images of Gloucester, Massachusetts that in turn incorporate paintings of Fitz Henry Lane, a nineteenth century painter and Gloucester resident. The poem, paintings, and book developed over several years as I visited the places in Gloucester where Lane lived and painted.
