I have come to enjoy painting still lifes the past few years, at least broadly construed. Some of these are traditional works: for example, arrangements of flowers on a table. Others, are paintings or sketches of meaningful objects in my life around the house, from shoes to typewriters. Still others are lovely interiors, captured as I move through my surroundings.
